Enders Hat PATTERN

Designs/Patterns

Our original patterns marry simple construction to sophisticated design.

A Liverpool Yarns hand knit creation shows equally well on a hike in the Lehigh Valley or on a stroll through Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia.

We name our patterns after Pennsylvania towns in homage to our many fellow Pennsylvania knitters and to the state's wool and fiber processing industry.

All patterns available as digital downloads.

Enders Hat PATTERN

6.00

Yarn: Liverpool Fingering

Needle: US size 2 (2.75mm) 16" circular needle

Gauge: 28 sts and 32 rounds = 4" after blocking

Yardage: 100 yarns Main Color; 25 yards each of two Contrast Colors

Size: One size to fit the average adult head, 20-22"

Simple bands of Fair Isle colorwork and a few stripes make a bold statement in the Enders Hat. Cozy and warm, lightweight and colorful, it's a modern spin on a classic look.

We've knit the hat two ways: in our classic neutrals, using Faun as the Main Color, and Nest and Gossamer as the contrast colors. And we've teamed up with Spencer Hill Yarn who used natural dyes on our Liverpool Fingering to create Charlotte, the contrast colors used here. You can buy a kit here for that hat.

The instructions for the hat are written, and the color work is charted. The finished circumference is 21" after blocking, and the length from cast on to crown is 9.5" after blocking.

A US size 0 (2mm) 16" circular needle, a US size 2 (2.75mm) 16" circular needle,  a set of US size 2 (2.75mm) double pointed needles, and removable stitch markers (one in Color A and seven in Color B) are the tools you will need for this hat.
